We recently went on a week long excursion to Kerala. Monu was a great guide showing us the sights and organizing our days, even when plans had to change. As someone that has never been to India he was great at teaching proper etiquette and culture. His wife Shobha was such a delight. Always smiling and offering her help. Knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling brought the history and culture of Kerala to life. Highly recommend!

Monu was a tour guide for our yoga group in 2023 and was so incredibly amazing that he agreed to once again be a guide for us in Kerala. Monu knows Varanasi inside out and prepared a very comprehensive tour. He takes into consideration weather, openings/closures, and always has everyone’s safety at top of mind. Both times we experienced top notch experiences and appreciated his ability and willingness to make schedule changes (sometimes the morning of if we had issues or changes on our end). His wife, Shobha is incredible. She’s there to lead cooking classes, take photos, and answer questions. This dynamic duo creates a complete package.

We have had the divine pleasure of having Monu as our tour guide twice. In October 2023, Manu guided our group through the area of Varanasi. He was a joy to work with, professional, friendly, humorous, and very helpful in fitting in all of the sites we wish to see. In October 2024, Manu accompanied us to Kerala, and the experience was again uplifting, professional, and extremely enjoyable. Manu left no details unaddressed and was wonderfully attentive to all our needs. I highly recommend his services.

I have to say that Monu from Monu Tours is an absolutely exceptional tour guide, and he couldn’t be a nicer person as well. We spent 5 full days with him - and rest assured, we were in the best hands! While traveling through Varanasi my husband and I wanted to see several things that were off the beaten path, and it was no trouble for Monu to arrange it. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and is very well connected within the community! We even got massages at his guest house one afternoon, and his mom’s chai tea was the best we had in all of India! Over the course of three weeks traveling throughout the country, his tours were the most memorable. Thank you Monu and greetings from your friends in the USA!!

I just returned from India and have worked on this review in my head for several days. I will start of by saying that quite simply Monu is amazing. He is professional, concerned for safety, and a priceless resource while in India. If you are wondering if you should work with Monu then the answer is YES.
